The event showcased Meta’s latest creator tools and monetization opportunities while honoring the country’s vibrant braai culture.

Creators also explored Threads for community building and WhatsApp Channels for direct audience engagement.

In a special fireside chat with creator Mpho_Pink, titled “Level Up Your Content with Meta AI,” Kezia Anim-Addo, Communications Director for Africa, Middle East & Turkey demonstrated how creators can leverage AI to streamline content creation while maintaining their authentic voice.
- Complemented by live entertainment from local artists, creators experienced dedicated activation zones including the Facebook Oasis for monetization training, the Instagram Visual Pod for Reels best practices, the Edits Exploration Bar for hands-on video editing, and the Threads Social Zone for community engagement strategies.

- The event featured brand partnership zones with Garnier, L’Oreal Paris, and Superbalist, offering beauty tutorials, product sampling, and branded giveaways. A dedicated group chat lounge also provided creators direct access to Meta team members for one-on-one platform guidance and feedback.

The Creator Braai builds on Meta’s successful creator initiatives across Sub-Saharan Africa, including recent events in Nigeria and Ghana that have reached over 1,000 creators – providing education, tools, and networking opportunities that help creators build sustainable businesses.
