HONOR has launched the 600 Lite S in South Africa, and its pitch is simple: a phone that keeps up with your day instead of the other way around.
Battery that outlasts your week The headline feature is a 7700mAh battery, which HONOR says delivers multi-day use on a single charge and stays healthy for up to six years. The phone is also tested for extreme temperatures, from -30°C winters to 50°C heatwaves, so it’s built for everything from a Joburg summer to a mountain road trip. When you do need to top up, 45W SuperCharge gets you back to full speed fast.
Tough enough for real life The 600 Lite S carries IP68, IP69 and IP69K ratings, meaning it can handle dust, high-pressure water jets and full submersion. A Wet-hand Touch feature keeps the screen responsive even when your fingers aren’t dry, handy for rainy commutes, kitchens and poolside scrolling.
A button just for AI The new dedicated AI Button sits separately from the power key. By default, a double press launches the camera, even from the lock screen, so you won’t miss a spontaneous moment. You can also customise single and long presses to open apps or tools such as HONOR AI, AI Translation, the AI Photos Agent and AI Creation.
The phone runs MagicOS 10, based on Android 16, with Google Gemini, Magic Portal and Circle to Search built in. Creators get AI Outpainting, AI Upscale and AI Cutout, plus the new AI Image to Video 2.0, which turns still photos into short cinematic clips.
Power and picture quality Under the hood is a Snapdragon 4 Gen 4 processor with 6GB of RAM, which HONOR’s RAM Turbo technology can stretch further, and 256GB of storage, enough for more than 150,000 high-resolution photos. Up front on the camera side is a 108MP main sensor for detailed shots.
Colours, price and availability The HONOR 600 Lite S comes in Velvet Black and Desert Gold, starting from R8,999 or R399 a month over 36 months. It’s available now on MTN, with Vodacom, Telkom and Cell C following in November.
The most advanced Galaxy Z series yet, seamlessly blending precision engineering and powerful intelligence to elevate everyday interactions – all in its thinnest and lightest design to date.
Fathers often work hard, sometimes behind the scenes, to support their families emotionally, financially, and physically. Father’s Day gives you a chance to show appreciation for those efforts. A thoughtful gift even something small can be a symbol of that gratitude. The gift doesn’t have to be expensive. What matters most is the thought behind it. Whether it’s something handmade, a favorite snack, or a kind letter, the act of giving shows love and effort.
