Soweto now has a first look at the young women competing for this year’s crown. The White Star Miss Soweto 2026 Top 20 finalists were officially introduced at Falcon Arrow Spur Southgate on Thursday, 15 October.
Thank you for reading this post, don't forget to subscribe! The reveal gave each finalist a chance to speak about what the Miss Soweto journey means to her. It also marks the start of a new phase, in which the women will take part in experiences designed to build their confidence, sharpen their voices and prepare them for the responsibilities that come with the title.

White Star, which supports the competition through its partnership with Miss Soweto, says the platform is about more than a winner. It is meant to support personal development and encourage young women to become positive role models in their communities.
“Every finalist has a story that has brought her to this point, and we look forward to seeing those stories unfold,” says Jonita Cuff, Marketing Manager for White Star. “Miss Soweto is about more than the crown; it is about creating opportunities for young women to grow, find their voices and recognise their potential.”

Ahead of the grand pageant on 28 November 2026, the Top 20 will go through intensive workshops on personal empowerment, community impact and practical life skills. The aim is for them to emerge as catalysts for change, following the many Miss Soweto winners who have become influential leaders and entrepreneurs.
