In support of the global initiative World Glaucoma Week, Execuspecs will be raising awareness about glaucoma and the importance of early detection through a nationwide campaign running from 8–15 March 2026.
Thank you for reading this post, don't forget to subscribe!Glaucoma is one of the leading causes of irreversible blindness worldwide and is often referred to as the “silent thief of sight” because it can develop without noticeable symptoms in its early stages. Without regular eye examinations, many individuals remain unaware they have the condition until permanent vision loss has already occurred.
World Glaucoma Week is a global effort aimed at encouraging people to prioritise their eye health through education, routine screenings, and early diagnosis. Early detection plays a critical role in preventing vision loss and ensuring appropriate treatment can begin before significant damage occurs.
To support this important initiative, Execuspecs will be offering free vision screenings at participating stores from 8–15 March, giving individuals the opportunity to take a proactive step toward protecting their sight.
As part of the campaign, customers who visit Execuspecs for a comprehensive eye test during this period will also receive a voucher to gift to a friend or family member for a free vision screening. The initiative aims to encourage people not only to take care of their own vision but also to inspire someone close to them to prioritise their eye health.

“Regular eye examinations are one of the most effective ways to detect conditions like glaucoma early,” says an Execuspecs representative. “Through this campaign, we hope to educate communities about the importance of routine eye care and make screenings more accessible to those who may not otherwise prioritise them.”
By combining education with accessible screenings, Execuspecs hopes to empower individuals across South Africa to take control of their eye health and help reduce the long-term impact of preventable vision loss. Members of the public are encouraged to visit their nearest Execuspecs store during World Glaucoma Week to take advantage of the free vision screening and learn more about maintaining long-term eye health.
