Every Day Low Prices
The new store brings a world-class shopping experience, supported by Walmart’s Every Day Low Prices philosophy to residents of Johannesburg’s western suburbs. With Every Day Low Prices, Walmart customers can shop on their own schedule and trust that they will always get a low price on the products they’re looking for and at the quality they’d expect – without having to wait for short-term promotions or worrying about constantly fluctuating prices. The objective is to ensure that whenever customers do their weekly shopping with Walmart, they always save money.

Layout and Assortment
The store incorporates a customer-centric design that is characterised by bright lighting, spacious aisles, intuitive inter-department flow and efficient checkout, which is supported by friendly, helpful service. The product offering comprises fresh and frozen food, groceries and consumables, as well as thoughtfully curated health and beauty, apparel and baby, sports and outdoor, homeware, electronics, toys and seasonal departments.

Local & Global Products

Reflecting Walmart’s commitment to local community investment, the store’s product offering is largely sourced from local suppliers, complemented by a curated selection of global brands. Among these is Drew Barrymore’s Beautiful range of small appliances, which adds an inspiring touch to customers’ regular weekly shopping trips. The range includes an elegant assortment of air fryers, kettles, blenders, toasters, and stand mixers, and is celebrated for its premium quality, elegant design, and soft pastel tones.
Expanding on the role of global brands in the product assortment, Merchandise Vice President Mark Scott explains: “A key objective has been to broaden product choices in a way that creates a sense of discovery—where shoppers are pleasantly surprised by options that bring interest and excitement to their everyday shopping experience. While Drew Barrymore’s Beautiful range delivers this in spectacular fashion, we also see it in simple moments, for example, our sweets and confectionery aisle features international favourites such as Mike & Ike, Reese’s, Warheads, and Nerds, brands not commonly found in South Africa.
